About Metroplex Professional Photographers

Who We Are...

The Metroplex Professional Photographers Association is based in Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas and was founded in 1948 under the name Tarrant County Professional Photographers.   Because many of our members come from outside of Tarrant County, the name was changed several years ago to more adequately reflect our demographics.

We are an organization of professional photographers only, both full time and aspiring, dedicated to our purpose statement of: The promotion of good fellowship, Education in superior photographic techniques as well as ethical and sound business practices, To inform the public and increase demand for our services, and To provide support for State, Regional, and National photographic organizations.

Our membership consists of one of the highest concentrations of degreed photographers (Masters, Craftsmen, CPP, etc) of any local organization in the country.   This is an outstanding opportunity for an aspiring photographer to become acquainted with and learn from these people.
